Romford - 4 Storey hotel

Elysium Construction were appointed principal contractor for the construction of a new 4-storey RC frame for the hotel building (with a basement) in Romford, London.

To preserve the original building façade, our team constructed an exoskeletal structural steel frame, then carried out the demolition of the existing internal structure (floors and walls) before beginning construction on the new RC frame and waterproof basement.

At a busy intersection between East Road and South Street, the site’s city centre location presented logistical challenges, but our teams worked day and night to meet planning permission restrictions (which specified deliveries of materials could only take place after 7pm) and deliver the project on schedule.
