Elysium Construction oversaw and carried out all civil and structural works on construction of a 132kv electrical substation [link to Substation Construction page], which was being constructed to feed a new Data Centre in Dagenham, East London.

Through careful planning and efficient communications with all parties involved, Elysium Construction successfully managed the installation of over 200 CFA (continuous flight auger) piles, reinforced concrete for the Switchhouse, raft reinforced concrete foundations and bund walls for the Transformers.

The main electrical substation building includes a 2.2 metre deep reinforced concrete basement housing, bottom entry cables, and a steel super-structure separated by block-walls to house the switch-gear.

In total, Elysium built 700m² of walkable surface, installed more than 2000m of below-surface ducts to link the 132kv cables from the Substation to the Data Centre, installed drainage systems and perimeter fencing, and completed the project with the installation of tarmacked roads throughout the site.
