Construction of a one-storey concrete basement and swimming pool adjacent to a listed residential property

Positioned next to a Grade 2 listed building, the construction site had to be carefully managed to ensure there was no lateral movement of the soil that could damage the listed building. Due to the complexities of the site, Elysium Construction’s structural engineers devised a safe construction methodology and sequencing of the works.

Monitoring of the listed building during and after construction showed zero lateral movement as a result of the project.
